About Department

The department is established in June 1986. It was the time when Computer Science was little known and word IT didn’t exist.  Formerly the department was running under Department of Physics with initial strength of 7 students. Since 1999 department has been running independently with initial strength of 45 students.

Presently department is running three year degree course B.Sc. (Computer Science) formerly named as B.C.S. (Bachelor of Computer Sci.). From June 2011 department is also running two year post graduate degree course M.Sc.(Computer Science).

The department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories of all major domains of Computer Science with excellent internet, hardware, software as well as 24 hour UPS backup support.

Strength of the department is its Strong  and enthusiastic faculty with keen interest in teaching and learning as well as excellent students and successful almini.

Students of the department get selected for higher studies in most reputed Institutes. Also every year our students got placement in reputed IT companies like TCS, CAP Gemini, Infosys, etc.
