About Department  Our College was instituted in 1967 as a degree college offering various courses in traditional disciplines like Arts and Commerce. The Zoology Department was started in June, 1972 to cater the needs of rural students. The College has started M.Sc in Zoology in 2019 with the Animal Physiology Specialization. In this department having well stocked library, well Equipped laboratory with necessary instruments. All the necessary Specimens, Slides and Charts for related to different subjects practical’s. well Qualified and fully dedicated staff with special emphasis on Research and NET/SET Guidance internet facility. In this Department having Two staff Ph.D. and one Post-Doctoral Fellow, four staff members Pursuing his Ph.D. in different fields like Fishery Science, Entomology, HydrobiologyAnd Animal Physiology. Two staff members having M.Phill and Ph.D Guideship from Savitribai Phule PuneUniversity, Pune.Infrastructure of the department includes two specious laboratories for two separate classes.Department runs a vermicomposting unit in the college campus which fulfills the requirements of Compost for the entire college vegetation. Department runs the Bridge Course for the fresher students. Department works on the Weaker student by conducting the remedial teaching. The department celebrates the Wild life conservation week, World Ozone Day, Science Day and Population Day. The department conducts the Excursion Tours for different classes as per the university Syllabus. Post Graduate Final year Students carry out the Research Dissertation work as per the university Syllabus. Student’s seminar are conducted in the respective subjects.
